Cancelling Online Payments

You would think that if a company will ACCEPT your subscription payment without a hard copy that they would also process your cancellation in the same method. NOT SO. Some of them want you to print out a form and fill it out (in detail) then snail mail it to them before they will cancel your account. How ironic. They don't make sure it is actually you who starts paying them, but they want to make sure it is actually you who stops paying them. Or... You submit a cancelllation request form, and then wait, wait, wait... You usually wait another month so they can milk you out of every last cent they can legally get. I'm fed up with it all. Wire Creations

A blog of note... Bent Objects. If you haven't seen this guy's work, you need to. It's simply amazing. The one I like best is called "Kite" and was posted in May... Here's the link. They say a picture paints a thousand words... This man is a true artist; his wire creations definitely speak thousands of words and aptly represent conditions of today's society, humor and politics. Take a look, you'll be glad you did. He even offers a brief tutorial on how to create art with wire.

Freedom

Listening to Lee Greenwood's song, "God Bless the USA," has stirred more than a little patriotism in my heart today of all days, July 4th. I cannot understand the ramblings of those so opposed to helping our brothers and sisters in other countries get on the road to true freedom. As we help them achieve freedom from dictators, tyrants, murderers and masters, we not only help them, but we ensure our own freedom. The only true path to safety on this land is to provide safety in other lands. I stumbled across another blogger today, from Iraq, and found his insights quite moving, as I am sure many of you will. General Petraeus and Ambassador Crocker will present their report about the situation in Iraq, military and political, at some point in September. One thing I hope the decision-makers and the media do when they read the report is to not isolate the war in Iraq from the war on terror and al-Qaeda as a whole, and at the same time put in mind the difference between war an...
