Watching the Republican convention was almost unbearable until the arrival of John McCain, an honest man. Listening to his speech reminded me of what the Republican party once stood for - integrity, honesty, and compassion for all. I couldn't help but notice that every time McCain spoke of things the Republicans had done, he spoke in past tense. That's how I know he is still a man of integrity. He did not lie about things he may WISH the republicans were doing. He spoke of what they did in the past. He did not lie about President Obama. I don't agree with John McCain's military vision for America. I, for one, am tired of sacrificing the lives of our military troops. Let's face it, the best scenario they can hope for is to come home with emotional scars that will change their lives as well as the lives of their families.
