Good Leaders Have Different Brain Waves

Good leaders have different brain waves
New research using details about people's lives as well as measuring particular output using electroencephalography (EEG), has led researchers to believe that good leaders have different brain waves than others.

This is important because in the past, we have thought that the reasons were solely based on psychology.

However, studies still show that listening to classical music does have positive effects on the brain.

This fact alone, should still remind us that we must nurture our children properly and not turn them over to video games and television sets to be entertained.

Regardless of brain wave activity, the proper atmosphere can enhance a person's mental, physical and spiritual well-being.

As parents, we all want to do what we can to ensure that our children are those of whom this study speaks. If good leaders have different brain waves, then we want to contribute to helping our children have those particular brain waves.

Leaders are usually achievers, which brings them back into the cycle of leadership and accomplishing great goals. The feelings of success and accomplishment appear to be great motivators. This fact gives parents a greater responsibility to explore many areas of interest that might spark a flame of inspiration in their child.

Interestingly, but not surprisingly, transcendental meditation seems to increase these factors in the brains of those who practice meditation regularly.

Quiet time is so rare these days. I believe that when the Old Testament of the Bible stated in Psalm 46.10: "Be still and know that I am God," that the most important concept he was trying to convey was to be still. Be still physically, mentally and spiritually.

Be still and allow, be still and know, be still and be well.

Perhaps more children should be exposed to Yoga, martial arts, and contemplative prayer. Writing in a journal every night might be another way to help children make sense of the world around them, as well as help them unwind from the daily stress and prepare them for a good night's sleep.

Below is a quote from the website with the details on the study. You can read more about how they concluded that good leaders have different brain waves at the link below.

The researchers have developed a new theory, a Unified Theory of Performance, which suggests that higher levels of mind-brain development form a platform for higher performance, regardless of profession or activity. http://preventdisease.com/news/12/062012_First-Study-To-Show-Brain-Measurement-To-Effective-Leadership.shtml

Tampon Tim

So now they're calling him "tampon tim."  Meanwhile, we're loving the publicity showcasing the magnificence that is Tim Walz.  Gov. Tim Walz’s administration ensured that menstruation products are provided freely in Minnesota's public school bathrooms.  "This move is crucial for students who might experience their first periods unexpectedly or who cannot afford products at home. According to a 2019 study by Plan International USA, 1 in 5 girls in the U.S. has missed school because of lack of access to menstrual products." Walz also removed the tampon tax in Minnesota, proudly making it one of the few states to acknowledge the absurdity of taxing our essential health products. These are the kinds of actions that prove a politician cares about his or her constituents, and is concerned about the poorest among them.  Bravo! #HarrisWalz2024  https://www.msnbc.com/opinion/msnbc-opinion/...

Ghost Proof Your Home

Halloween is around the corner and October in general is a month when strange happenings occur. I hear many tales of unexplained phenomena such as lights going on and off, knocks on the door when no one is there and sometimes just a "feeling" that someone is watching you. Is there any particular reason that spirits are more active in October? None that I can think of, except that it has been believed to be this way for centuries. However, those who know more about the cosmos, the star alignments and geomagnetic pulls may have some valid reasons why October is the bewitching month. Ghostly superstitions and beliefs exist in all cultures, and today I found a nice image that shows ways to ghost proof your home. The traditions come from many different cultures and are easy to do, except for the Kaballah thing. Click on the image to view it enlarged at the original source. Support Term Limits for Supreme Court Justices

The following is a letter I have sent through automation to write my Representatives encouraging them to support term limits for Supreme Court Justices. Feel free to copy and paste the following letter that I rewrote from the previously formatted letter that will appear in the link provided at the bottom of this article. Or, use their letter. Or, better yet, rewrite it for yourself as I have done.  When you go to the link, your representatives will automatically appear when you enter your address.  This is such a simple way to contact your representatives in Washington, D.C.  Topic - government reform or judicial Letter: Thank you for your service to our country as a representative of the people. Integrity still matters to most people. Unfortunately, we are living in an era where we can no longer depend on one's conscience to dictate or control individual actions. I, and the majority of Americans, have lost faith in the Supreme Court’s ability to act as a neutral arbiter ...
