The Kardashians

A few months ago, when I was fed up with the ridiculous slurs and insulting memes regarding the Kardashians, I decided to actually watch the show to see what all of this hate drama is about.

I am still watching reruns and trying to keep up with current shows when I have time. Obviously, many more people love them than hate them (I can find reruns nearly every day), or they would not be on television as much as they are, or in magazines, or in newspapers, or online newspapers, or tabloids, on entertainment TV shows, or - well, you get the point.

Here's why I continue to watch their shows.

There is very little "wrong" with the Kardashian family, unless you call being rich wrong, which apparently most people do not or they wouldn't continually allow filthy rich politicians to run the country.

As you may (or may not) know, I study psychology. I am fascinated by it. The Kardashian family is one of the most loyal, unconditionally loving families I have ever had the pleasure to watch in action.

As Scott (Kourtney's beau and father of her 3 children) continues to struggle with addiction, and even though Kourtney finally gave him the boot, the family has been amazingly supportive for this young man. Meanwhile, Kourtney is a wonderful mother, raising three children while remaining active in their many business ventures.

Then there's Bruce, now Caitlyn Jenner, and the transition that the whole family was forced to make - which they did with grace. He is still embraced with unconditional love from the family.

More recently we have witnessed the drama with Khloe's almost ex-husband Lamar, and the crisis he brought upon himself. And yet, Khloe dropped everything to be by his side in the beginning, which included the most critical hours of his recovery or possible demise. I was amazed and impressed by her devotion to a man who had disrespected her so badly.

As for Kim, you may not approve of her photos in magazines, but she is a savvy business lady and she is classy. Not only that, but almost every famous person who has met her has only positively wonderful things to say about her. She is caring but firm, which is why I feel she is usually the spokesperson for the family, although Khloe has been stepping up in that role recently, which is great. I think we will continue to see great things from both of them.

Then we have the charming Rob, who has been through so much the past couple of years, during which time the family respected his privacy and stood by him. This month, we have seen a new Rob who is allowing photos to be taken and is looking slimmed down and as charming as ever. Good for you Rob!

Having said all of that, I am not a huge fan of Kris Jenner, although I do admire the way she has provided for her girls and inspired them to take advantage of opportunities to be savvy business women. She is a smart business woman. Who can imagine the suffering she has endured over losing Bruce? And it's not just personal suffering, the media has added more than their fair share of torment.

My verdict is still out on Kendall and Kylie as I know the least about them, but so far, I think they are behaving as one would expect of two beautiful, famous young girls who are making their own financial way in the world, even though they could sit back and live off the money of the family. I can't wait to see what they do next.

So what is the problem exactly?

Why do so many people hate the Kardashians?

Is it pure jealousy?

I believe that could be a small part of it. Most families are not that loyal. If you humiliate the family, then you're out-a-here, at least in small town America. Not so with the Kardashians.

Is it because people mistakenly believe that they are filthy rich without working for their own money? That could be true since so many people form opinions without bothering with facts.

Whatever the reason that conservative America (on Facebook) feels compelled to judge and despise them, it is without merit.

I am interested to see how they handle the after effects of the new OJ movie. I fully expect to see them react with the same grace they have shown throughout their past problems with the family and with the public.

Meanwhile, I'll keep watching as time allows, to see if I can find any behaviors or attitudes worthy of the scorn of conservative America. Somehow, I doubt that will happen.

This is a well-adjusted, loving family making the best of every moment of every day, and doing it quite well.

Dare I say it? Yes, I will.

I like the Kardashians!

Tampon Tim

So now they're calling him "tampon tim."  Meanwhile, we're loving the publicity showcasing the magnificence that is Tim Walz.  Gov. Tim Walz’s administration ensured that menstruation products are provided freely in Minnesota's public school bathrooms.  "This move is crucial for students who might experience their first periods unexpectedly or who cannot afford products at home. According to a 2019 study by Plan International USA, 1 in 5 girls in the U.S. has missed school because of lack of access to menstrual products." Walz also removed the tampon tax in Minnesota, proudly making it one of the few states to acknowledge the absurdity of taxing our essential health products. These are the kinds of actions that prove a politician cares about his or her constituents, and is concerned about the poorest among them.  Bravo! #HarrisWalz2024  https://www.msnbc.com/opinion/msnbc-opinion/...

Ghost Proof Your Home

Halloween is around the corner and October in general is a month when strange happenings occur. I hear many tales of unexplained phenomena such as lights going on and off, knocks on the door when no one is there and sometimes just a "feeling" that someone is watching you. Is there any particular reason that spirits are more active in October? None that I can think of, except that it has been believed to be this way for centuries. However, those who know more about the cosmos, the star alignments and geomagnetic pulls may have some valid reasons why October is the bewitching month. Ghostly superstitions and beliefs exist in all cultures, and today I found a nice image that shows ways to ghost proof your home. The traditions come from many different cultures and are easy to do, except for the Kaballah thing. Click on the image to view it enlarged at the original source. Support Term Limits for Supreme Court Justices

The following is a letter I have sent through automation to write my Representatives encouraging them to support term limits for Supreme Court Justices. Feel free to copy and paste the following letter that I rewrote from the previously formatted letter that will appear in the link provided at the bottom of this article. Or, use their letter. Or, better yet, rewrite it for yourself as I have done.  When you go to the link, your representatives will automatically appear when you enter your address.  This is such a simple way to contact your representatives in Washington, D.C.  Topic - government reform or judicial Letter: Thank you for your service to our country as a representative of the people. Integrity still matters to most people. Unfortunately, we are living in an era where we can no longer depend on one's conscience to dictate or control individual actions. I, and the majority of Americans, have lost faith in the Supreme Court’s ability to act as a neutral arbiter ...
