Once again, I feel betrayed by religious dogma. So here it is Monday morning and I'm just now learning about a lovely house blessing I could have performed over the weekend, had I only known it existed, and that it was being observed globally. Can you imagine the collective consciousness power of such an event? Just wondering why I wasn't taught about the Feast of the Epiphany and the Epiphany house blessing as a child, in my Southern Baptist Church. I feel betrayed by dogma. I feel betrayed by every denomination that dictates what can and cannot be taught in Sunday School, which is why... I no longer attach my spirituality to any type of organized religion. Time-honored traditions, whether approved of by the board or not, should always be taught. We should each be entitled to take advantage of our God-given free will and decide for ourselves which traditions we will embrace. Who was it that said, "you shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free....
Surviving the Circus of politics, religious dogma, science deniers and day-to-day life is nice, but THRIVING is better! Learn to find magic in the chaos. Truth, common sense and actions matter. Remember - faith without works is dead. That's what that verse means. You must invest more than lip service if you expect change, whether the change you seek is in your personal life or in the world. Education is KEY, and with experience, leads to wisdom.
